Serverless .Net Applications on AWS: Databases Course

We continue to introduce you to the modern serverless architecture based on cloud technologies. Both large corporations and small food companies have already appreciated the approach. It reduces development costs, saves time, and simplifies infrastructure management. 

As you know, databases are the main component of any application and the main item of infrastructure expenses. Their rational use can significantly reduce the overall check and significantly speed up the system. 

This workshop is the third Serverless .NET Applications on AWS series meeting and this time, we will focus on developing applications using advanced services such as Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora Serverless, and AWS Lambda.

FOR WHOM 

The workshop will be of interest to .NET developers who want to gain practical skills in creating modern applications based on serverless AWS technologies. The event is aimed at Middle and Senior professionals with experience in creating web applications and, preferably, working with ASP .NET Core. 

PROGRAM 

The meeting is designed for four hours: a short introductory part devoted to theory and the main practical part devoted to examples. 

Topics covered by the workshop: 

1. Overview of AWS services (Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora Serverless, AWS Lambda)
2. Discussion of the application architecture
3. Infrastructure deployment (AWS CloudFormation)
4. Development of services

AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP YOU WILL: 

• Understand the architecture of serverless applications in AWS
• Gain knowledge of patterns for storing information in Amazon DynamoDB
• Understand how to work with relational serverless databases like Amazon Aurora
• Freely develop business logic applications using AWS Lambda and .NET Core
• Learn how to integrate AWS Lambda through AWS IAM with AWS services such as AWS S3, Amazon DynamoDB, and others
• Be able to deploy AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation

For the convenience of all participants, you must have the following software pre-installed and configured: 

• Git
• Docker
• AWS CLI
• We recommend that you create an AWS account
