Teachers’ Smart Up is an educational project by Sigma Software University that has been bringing together educators for many years — those who strive to grow, share their experience, and bring modern approaches into teaching. Over this time, the project has earned the recognition of the professional community: it received the DOU Award 2025, the Jury’s Choice award at People First Award 2026 in the Corporate Social Responsibility category, and was named among the TOP 7 best projects worldwide at the PRWeek Global Awards 2026 in the Public Sector category.
This season is a special one — for the tenth time, we are bringing the educational community together to exchange knowledge and experience 🎉
That’s why we’ve prepared even more inspiring sessions, hands-on practice, and fresh ideas. You can look forward to lectures from invited experts, as well as talks by your fellow community members, who will share their own cases, proven methodologies, and ideas that already work in the classroom!
As in the previous season, the program will be equally useful for lecturers at higher education institutions, school teachers, and educators at vocational (technical) schools. We want every participant to discover new tools, inspiration, and practical solutions. And, of course, following our good tradition, a lecture by an international speaker in English awaits you.

CERTIFICATES
All program participants will receive a certificate of completion confirming their participation in the training.
If desired, you may also request an extended certificate with 1 ECTS credit, which includes the total study workload, a list of topics covered, and other details required to confirm professional development at an educational institution.

WHO IS THIS FOR
This training will be useful for everyone working in education — lecturers at higher and professional pre-higher education institutions, vocational education teachers, and school teachers. For those who teach the younger generation, strive to stay on top of educational trends, and want to change education at their own institution for the better.
INFORMATION FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL
If you are serving in the military or are a family member of a servicemember, please indicate this during registration by selecting the corresponding checkbox in the form. For this category of participants, the 1 ECTS credit certificate is provided free of charge.
IMPORTANT
Participants of the Teachers’ Smart Up program are required to adhere to standards of ethical, respectful, and lawful behavior during online lectures, discussions, and chat communication. The use of offensive language, insulting or derogatory remarks, as well as any form of disrespect toward speakers, organizers, or other participants is unacceptable. In the event of a violation of these rules, the organizers reserve the right to restrict participation or remove a participant from the program without prior notice, including without issuing a certificate.

The training will run over one working week. Each day, participants can expect 2–3 online sessions held via Microsoft Teams.

17:00 – 17:20 — Opening remarks from the organizers.
17:20 – 18:20 — “Project-Based Approach in Teaching and Learning: The Case of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet FREEGOOD Project,” Ella Derkach, Professor at the Department of Constitutional, International and Criminal Law. Responsible for developing international relations at the Faculty of Law, coordinator of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet FREEGOOD module on European Union law.
17:00 – 18:00 — “Dos and Don’ts for a New Manager,” Zane Eaton, Operations Director at Dish Ukraine with decades of engineering leadership experience at Kohler, Siemens, and Motorola.
The lecture will be held in English.
18:00 – 19:00 — “Grow Without Borders: How to Find a Community, Resources, and Global Opportunities,” Tetiana Botsian, Project Development Analyst at Kharkiv IT Cluster. Recipient of a Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and a Certificate of Merit from the Zhytomyr Regional Council.
17:00 – 18:00 — “Mathematical Thinking in the Era of Ready-Made Answers,” Dmytro Bobyliev, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Methods of Teaching Mathematics at Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, expert in mathematics education and the integration of AI into teacher training.
18:00 – 19:00 — “Learning Through Real Challenges: How to Integrate Project-Based and Challenge-Based Learning into the Curriculum,” Stanislav Kukhtyk, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the Academician Yuriy Bugay International Scientific and Technical University (ISTU), PhD in Law. Coordinator of the UniCities project, Viable Cities Champion 2024 laureate.
16:00 – 17:00 — “Education–Business Partnership: How to Build Effective Collaboration,” Yuliia Tsymbala, Head of the Education Team at Lviv IT Cluster, building partnerships between education, government, and the IT business community.
17:00 – 18:00 — “AI Agents and the Future of IT Education: Rethinking the Professional Competencies of a Programmer,” Alina Fedosieieva, PhD in Technical Sciences, member of the Scientific and Methodological Commission for Professional Pre-Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Head of the “Programming and IT” Cycle Commission at KhRTFK (Kharkiv Radio Engineering Professional College).
18:00 – 19:00 — “AI-Ready Course: How to Design a Discipline When AI Changes Faster Than the Syllabus,” Volodymyr Skitsko, Associate Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Modeling and Statistics of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. PhD in Economics, Associate Professor.

17:00 – 18:00 — “Teacher + Student + AI: A New Learning Model Instead of Bans and Control,” Volodymyr Berest, Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Head of the Department of Molecular and Medical Biophysics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Fulbright Program fellow (Weill Cornell Medicine, USA), leader of international Erasmus+, DAAD, and Horizon Europe projects.
18.00 – 19.00 — «Як зацікавити студентів вивчати нові теми та розробляти цікаві проєкти: досвід кількох практик, що (іноді) працюють», Костянтин Жереб, викладач факультету комп’ютерних наук та кібернетики КНУ імені Тараса Шевченка. Понад 15 років викладання програмної інженерії, досвід роботи розробником та науковим співробітником НАН України. Лауреат Премії Верховної Ради України для молодих вчених.
