Java programming no longer scares you, but there is still room for improvement. During the course we will get acquainted with the Spring Framework, delve into Project Bootstrapping, and practice working with Web Services. We’ll learn to write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.

This course is for those who are already familiar with Java and want to deepen their knowledge and gain the necessary skills in writing Java applications and using the Spring Framework.
PROGRAM
The course consists of 11 classes that combine the required minimum of theory and a lot of live-coding. You’ll have a lot of homework to do, which will be checked by the coach individually. Step by step you will create your own project.
We’ll consider the following topics:
Module 1: Project Bootstrapping (Git, Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, SQL, Spring Initializer)
Module 2: Web Services (Spring Web, Spring Core, Spring Security, Spring Data, Error Handling)
AT THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL
- Know how to use GIT + GitHub correctly
- Gain hands-on knowledge of the Java Stream API
- Be able to write Java web-oriented applications
- Deepen your knowledge of SQL
- Gain the experience you need with Spring core, Inversion of Control, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Hibernate
- Learn to write unit tests using JUnit, Mockito
- Safely apply for the position of Java developer in IT companies
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
- Basic knowledge of syntactic constructions, cycles, conditional operators, arrays, collections;
- General understanding of what Spring type and OOP in Java are. What is a class, method, constructor, class field, visibility in Java;
- At least Pre-Intermediate level of English;
- Have a laptop (at least 4 GB of RAM and a processor of at least 1.8 GHz).
