PROGRAM
Our course is a mix of lectures, practicals, and seminars combined into five thematic modules:
Module 1. Software Testing
This is the main module in which you will gain all the key knowledge and skills needed to master the profession of Test Engineer. We will talk about the quality of software, learn the classification of types of testing, focus on functional and non-functional testing, and consider test design techniques and features of test documentation. We will pay special attention to the topic of bugs and work with requirements. And you will learn about the specifics of testing mobile and desktop applications.
Module 2. Processes
This module focuses on the processes that occur during software development. We’ll start with the software development methodology, find out what place testing takes in the development cycle, talk about the team, and pay special attention to such an important topic as labor cost estimation.
Module 3. Principles of web-applications
In this module, we will consider the basic principles of web applications. You will learn the basics of HTML and CSS, focus on HTTP requests, and practice working with them.
Module 4. Basics of databases and automated testing
You will learn how to compose SQL queries and perform basic data operations, why you need automated testing, what approaches and tools exist, and how to work with them.
Module 5. Control of knowledge
One of the most important modules: oral exam and course work to test and consolidate practical skills. Successful completion of this module is confirmed by a Certificate from Sigma Software University.
COURSE GRADUATES WILL
- Knowlege and understanding of the software development process;
- Knowlege and understanding of the types, methods, and methodologies of software testing;
- Ability to apply test design in practice and work with test documentation;
- Ability to work with requirements and estimate labor costs;
- Ability to work with defects;
- Knowlege and understanding of the web applications basic principles.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
- Complete or incomplete higher technical education or software testing and development courses from commercial training centers;
- Proficiency in English at least at Pre-Intermediate level;
- Availability of a laptop for practical tasks in a classroom;
- Personal qualities: proactive, independent.
IMPORTANT! Before the start of the training, selection testing will be conducted to assess the initial level of knowledge of the participants.
